Reply #9: It's actually 13 between the two houses on my property

I built my mom a small house next to mine. She started with two and now has six that mostly hang around her house, we started with one and now have seven around and in ours. A couple are high maintenance kitties that others would get rid of. One is blind, one thinks she's too good for the litter box sometimes and one gets sick often and needs to go to the vet.
The only bad/sad thing is my yard has a lot of trees with birds and squirrels and the cats, well fed mind you, keep trying and sometimes succeed in killing them.
