67. Good response. I work with teachers who never allow that
phrase to be used in their classrooms. What is intended, what the meaning really means to 17 year olds is irrelevant. You don't say it because, interestingly, it's taking a perfectly reasonable word that describes a particular group of people and attaching pejorative meaning to it. Period. Isn't it interesting that both queer and gay have been "adopted" in that way? And then everyone denies that there is any hostility involved? Yeah, right.
