Interestingly enough, the local gendarmes have gotten a bellyful from some of the other neighbors on the drumming and the dirt bike. This guy is so brazen (and so clever,) that he rides his dirt bike for ten-twenty minutes or so -- just enough time to rev, rev, rev it up, drive around a few times, then quickly put it in the garage before the cops arrive, having been summoned by other neighbors. He then brings the bike out again when the coast is clear. We live in a small town; the police are usually much too busy to "lie in wait" for him to do it again.
One of our officers recently told me that the entire department knows about our neighbor due to the sheer number of complaints from different homes in the neighborhood.
