Medium grain takes less time, long grain even less. I like it sticky. Sometimes I add sweet rice into medium or short grain.

Try pressure cooking millet for about 20 minutes. Makes it more fluffy. Even better, soak it, roast it dry, then pressure cook it. Throw some kobocha squash in while you're at it.
