25. While Lewis may have been a Christian...
and may have put Christian imagery into his books, he was far from being what we would call a Fundy. His approach to Christianity was actually very sane and palatable. Yes, he did believe in the return of Christ and the battle with the Anti-Christ, the destruction of this world to make room for the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. But there was sanity there, and a sense of balance. And I actually find his imagery and message to be a lot less blunt and intrusive than Pullman's (even though I LOVE the "His Dark Materials" series).
