38. Field of Dreams.. it honestly ruined baseball for me.
I used to be a real baseball fanatic, knew all the stats, played 1000s of Statis Pro baseball games (a more complex version of Strat-o-matic) and all that... would journey to NYC several times a year to see the Yankees play (2 hours or so from my home in CT) However, I remember all the baseball writers were orgasming over this movie, and we'd hear stories about how grown men were crying at this movie.

I went to see this movie and it really left me cold. It did nothing and it got me to thinking WTF were these guys who were crying, or the writers that were orgasming?

I have not been to a baseball game since, and don't even really follow-it all that closely, anymore. Yankees beat the Sox, who cares? Sox stun Yankees after being down 3-0? Ho hum... I sometimes comment on baseball because it almost feels like I should than any real passion for the game any more.
