2. my son takes a little while to process the homework
and then he gets it after a bit of practice. I have mixed feelings about kids having too much homework, they are in school all day and I guess I don't think they should spend so much time doing more work. I didn't have to do an hours worth of HW til I was in junior high.

Even though deveopmentally/cognitively, kids are able to do so much and it benefits them in the long run ( I see all those math and read. comp. questions on the achievement tests I give), I'm not sure it's the best thing. :shrug:

So your little ones are Little! Dunno why I thought they were older...
I love that age. My son is in the mouthy stage, although he is wonderfully polite to everyone else! ;)
