Reply #16: hard to say...I always get a feeling about it...never have to look

All my close friends have been such since I was about 3..so through time they have show their loyalty without my having reason to doubt...I never noticed though - I was too young.

But I look back fondly at the memory of watching a big bully pick on a friend, and to jump on the bully and pummel him without even thinking about consequences purley because he was messing with your friend. As well the memory of taking the heat for something you didn't even do because the alternative was giving up your friend.

Truly with a special group of 4 guys...it still is that way. I would do anything for them. I mean that. Just like they would do anything for me .....my post about "best friends" exemplifies that.

So now, I compare most "friends" to those guys. Some, but not many have made the cut. I consider myself lucky to have such good buddies.
