| Anyone catch "Lord of War"? I really liked it... |

I caught the filmlast night and it's depressing in a sense but it had an important message. While I won't give away the details, Nicholas Cage is a small arms dealer.
At one point he's dealing with teh liberian dictator Batiste and he mentions something about democracy at which point Batiste laughs about the US having a kangaroo court and shows a newspaper with the 2k selection.
Overall, it's a great film. I also like that it points out at the end that while individual private small arms trafficers are a problem, the real profiteers of death are the US, UK, France, China, and Russia - the five permanent members of the SC.
I do wish it had mentioned one thing though - that the US actually backed out of a UN convention against small arms trafficing under this administration.
