26. In retrospect, we should have let the Soviets taken Afghanistan....
...because if they did, we might not have to be dealing with a little thing of our creation....Al Qaeda.

It reminds me of the movie "Three Days of the Condor" when John Houseman said, and I paraphrase, "It was at least a lot simpler then", in reference to knowing who your enemies were, and weren't.
