16. Someone who isn't on the same page I'm on and who isn't as
perceptive or bright as I am probably can't help me find the right tools. :(

I mean, I really like the guy, so even thinking this is upsetting me. He's been very kind and supportive, but if we're not on the same page, I don't see how we can get things done. If he thinks my basic beliefs about people are wrong and that his are right, I don't think we can ever get past square one.

My personal view of human nature is that a very small percentage are good, a very small percentage are evil, a good percentage will do evil part of the time and good part of the time and a good percentage will just following the current trend, whatever it may be. I don't have much use for evil people, people that do evil and good and you never know which it will be. I don't have much use for neutral types who follow whatever is currently popular. I want to seek out good folks who do what's right most of the time. The problem is, they're rare. I need to know how to find these rare people. Sorry, I just don't buy the "most people are good" sentiment. A look at history and at my own personal history smash this sentiment to pieces. I can't just open my heart to any person that comes along.

Sure, I can be decent to everyone, apologize when I'm not, vow not to make the same mistakes again. But that's DIFFERENT from letting every Tom, Dick and Harry into my personal life, you know???
