14. Stick with him/her for a first..
therapists don't do anything but listen. They will not give you advise. Later all they do is brain-storm with you or give you drugs. My cousin, over the years, has seen at least 25 therapists and a few psychiatrists. When they go into phase 3 and 4, she quits and finds another therapists when they don't agree with her or she can't manipulate the situation. My cousin has a very high IQ, a world traveler, multi-lingual, but has a quick temper and wears her emotions on her sleeve. If you say, that's a pretty dress. She thinks you're saying her dress is ugly because you didn't say beautiful.

I truly love my cousin and I'm the only family member who understands her. She finds that I don't judge her. But I am truly aware when she's manipulating, and I change subjects on her.
