6. Well yeah, everyone knows that.
For centuries women did not have access to providing for themselves so they traded sex for a livelihood through the institution of marraige and withheld it outside of arrangements that would benefit them. I'm not saying that that hasn't changed much in recent years or has to be that way, but I think there's still a lot of the cultural mechanisms that reinforced all that in place today, including double standards.
