53. Property costs

I live about 50 miles from Santa Barbara, California (and commute every day) and own* a house worth about $500,000. I'd ***LOVE*** to actually live *in* Santa Barbara, but the same house there would probably run me about $2,000,000.

Other than that I'd love to live in the Boston area, but family ties keep me here. Plus I'm not sure I'd like all the snow. But it sure would be cool to be nearer the JFK Museum, and there's something about Boston that I really loved when I was there.
