Which should be part of the cultural framework of most people from the boomer ages on then maybe you should.

Otherwise, Iggy and DOA are punk but not on the edge anymore. I heard an Iggy Pop song used for a commercial the other day .. made me feel old. DOA is hardcore punk which the common media/ad sources have yet to figure out how to successfully co-opt for commercial purposes so don't feel bad about that at all.

My wife's middle school students are into some band called Good Charlotte that I have never heard of really. (But they do wear Bad Brainz t-shirts and included Mike Watt in one of their videos so they can't that bad can they? At least, they paying homage to their elders.)
