20. The original Skynyrd was NOT repuke
They played many fund-raising concerts for Jimmy Carter's 1976 campaign. I have a pic of Ronnie Van Zant with a Jimmy Carter t-shirt.

Plus, he wrote rock's best anti-gun song, "Saturday Night Special", plus anti-poverty/anti-Vietnam songs like "Things Goin' On" and "Four Walls of Raiford". Pro-environmental songs like "All I Can Do Is Write About It", and anti-racism songs like "The Ballad of Curtis Loew".

Rest assured, the only version of Skynyrd I acknowledge weren't freepers. I am a lifelong fan who can vouch for that.
