1. If You Merit Praise from the Boss...
...you're likely putting in long hours, driving yourself hard, seeking perfection in all aspects of the job...all of which cause stress - a factor in heart disease. I think the authors of this study may have put the cart before the horse. Couldn't it be the type-A personality traits that the boss praises instead of the boss' praise causing a heart attack? :shrug:
