Is anyone else having a string of bad luck since the election?

I saw Will Pit say that he got smashed in the face with a brick on election night, so obviously it's not just me. But jebus, when will it end?

I was a basket case for the first couple of days (duh) and wasn't even eating hardly anything. I finally, on day 3, decided that I was hungry. We got some Chinese food, and I held the fortune cookie in my hand and stated, "this had BETTER be good!!" I opened this:



Lovely.

The day after that, I almost got into a car accident. I was sitting at a stop sign glaring at the two Bush/Cheney signs that were flanking each side of the road and feeling the rage building. I look, turn on to the main road and some idiot in the far lane decides that he's going to switch lanes at that very moment. It was one of those near-misses that leaves you tingly and driving with the 'shaky leg syndrome".

Nice.

Random yuckiness continues daily for a couple more days - from forgotten appointments to a run-in with the IRS (long story, now resolved). Every day since the election is sucking ass on multiple levels.

Then the kicker - I fall down the stairs. And I don't mean one of those pussy slide-down-a-few-steps-on-your-ass falls, I mean FALL. One shade removed from a head over heals job fall, almost down the entire length of the stairway. I don't think I've done that since I was 4. I had bruises and felt like I had been whipped with chains for a couple of days.

So far today, nothing horrible has happened yet... but the day is young!
