4. The interview was from the early 1980s
Since getting into the Grateful Dead and wanting to hear the original artists who performed songs covered by the Dead, I have gained an appreciation of the original MIB (Man in Black). I don't know what kind of politics Johnny Cash had but I suspect he was on the liberal side. I have heard it said that he wore black in solidarity with those who are oppressed.

Nothing more cool than that!
