16. He was referring to his injury
It's pretty fucking incredible that he was able to pitch seven innings on one working foot. If I were a man of faith, I would definitely believe that my god had given me the strength to pitch seven nearly flawless innings.

If the Red Sox had blown it, I'll bet he still would've thanked god for giving him the strength to pitch that well.
