Moonbeam, you just made me chuckle. Years ago, in 1966 my second cousin and her husband were transferred from Chicago to Dallas in the early fall. They came back for a visit the following summer and told everyone in the family hilarious stories about Texas drivers in an ice storm. We still laugh about it to this day.

I know what you mean about reporters and the weather. Every year here in Chicago when the first real snowfall hits they are absolutely pathetic.

My favorite though is when the temperature falls below zero and the wind chill is about -50 and here are our intrepid reporters standing on an overpass over the Kennedy or the Dan Ryan Expressways telling everyone to stay inside.
