| 10. Not a fan of horror flicks but I'll throw in my two cents. |

"Prince of Darkness" Saw this years ago, but it scared me on an intellectual level more so than the gore or the sudden shock idea.
Basic concept was that there was God and Anti-God and that the Anti-God was supposed to be in power and that had been somehow trapped and the Xtian religion had grown up as a cover story for a sect whose soul purpose was to keep this anti-god trapped only now he's on the verge of escape. The movie presents this much better than this little synopsis and may not be any good in it's own right, but the concept was fascinating and in it's own right one of the scariest I've ever heard.
"Jeepers Creepers" I think that was the name, stuck with me because it flaunted it's existence and the authorities were powerless to stop it. It bothered me because of the kids screams at the end in a dark, hopeless, terrifying, dirty place.
"Scream" Not the scariest but it reinvented the genre, and wasn't afraid to poke fun at itself while still doing the traditional as good as it's ever been done.
