The DNC often goes right if it feels that's where the votes are. So, I support them if they stay to the left.
The ACLU isn't much better, but for different reasons. The ACLU has its pet issues and its pet perspectives. There are often cases dealing with abuse of civil liberties that the ACLU won't touch with a may pole-- usually ones dealing with a religious person's right to practice their religion freely.
