I hope Bill Gates isn't expecting any favors.

The Dean campaign uses lots of Macs. :-)

Also, according to www.netcraft.com, deanforamerica.com is running Apache on FreeBSD (100% Microsoft free). Subdomains, like commons.deanforamerica.com, are on Linux. Blogforamerica.com is running Apache on Linux (100% Microsoft free). DeanSpace, the open source-based (and free) Dean web site building kit, is platform-independent, with open source MySQL the preferred database. DeanSpace's own web site is Apache on FreeBSD. Pilots for Dean is Apache on Linux.

I only found one exception: howarddean.tv. That's IIS on Windows 2000. Ick. (I think that one's contracted out.)

I like campaigns that keep expenses low. Microsoft costs too much.
