39. what worries me more is the blowback in Iraq over this
I'm afraid a lot of Iraqis will see Bush crowing and
posturing at the Baghdad airport, and see it as a taunt:
I can go to Saddam Hussein airport, but Saddam Hussein
can't. While Bush is sleeping in safety at the white
house, it'll be our kids dodging the car bombs, rocket-
propelled grenades, and mortar fire this stunt provokes.

To say nothing of the risks of President flying into a
wildly unstable war zone.(*)

(*)OK, Roosevelt did it twice, but that was for meetings with
Churchill and Stalin on the war strategy, not an in-and-out
photo op.
