I agree that it's a big story.

The Energy Bill and Medicare Bill are also big. Congress is rushing through controversial bills with little debate.

It's the opposite of how a "great deliberative body" is supposed to function.

The combination of Republicans controlling the White House, the House of Rep, and the Senate, and the fact that the Republican leadership is against debate, is interfering with how a democracy should function.
