5. Here you are on a Clark thread again
Just kidding - mostly, lol. Let's at least go back to the old mutated thread if you want to continue to discuss this, a lot of the context for this discussion is already there. Having said that:

"The former Vermont Governor," reported VandeHei, "said he would reverse the trend toward deregulation pursued by recent presidents -- including, in some respects, Bill Clinton -- to help restore faith in scandal-plagued U.S. corporations and better protect U.S. workers."

The only part of that statement in play is the part about Clinton really. No Democrat I know has been a defender of any of the efforts Bush has made regarding "deregulation". So what specifically that Clinton has done does Dean want to reverse? Then we have to find out in what areas Clark believes the policies of the Clinton administration did not adaquately protect consumers and workers (which he is on record saying is the case). Then we have to campare the pros and cons etc. of their relative proposals. There's a whole lot to flesh out beyond the rhetoric. Clinton starts out leaning on Clinton advisors, Dean has a prior record that in some cses suggested derergualtion was positive. Gotta get below the sound bites on this one. I already said I liked the tone of Dean's comments.
