13. that's very strange reasoning.
It makes about as much sense as Paul Babyface Bremer saying, "I'm glad we're fighting them here, rather than back home in the US". According to his reasoning, we take our fight out of the US, to do it in someone else's country.

I guess the analogy would be a bar fight in a saloon in the wild west. The bartender throws the brawlers out, to let them settle the score out in the street.

The flaw in their argument is they are assuming the insurgents to be a finite number. And by their own quotes, they recognize that they themselves are "creating terrorists by the score". Rumsfeld wrote it in his memo last week. They all know this is happening. The muslim world has 1.4 billion adherents. Compare that to the US 339 million. About 4 to 1. Hm.

They're also ignoring the muslims' anger at what is happening. If I had half my family killed needlessly by an invading force, guess what I would be doing?
