Repub Catholic Politicians Death Penality, Guns. Tookie inspired thread.

I was wondering this about the Catholic church. For all the Freepers out there I am not broad brushing anyone. This is a policy question.

I was just wondering howcome that the higher ups never go after republican politicians who are pro death penailty, pro gun, pro war, and pro war. All these positions which are supposed to be contrary to the church's teachings.

Instead they seem to be focused on one or two issues. Abortion and stem Cell Research. Now another talking point is that you "cant pick and choose" but you gotta admit theres awhole lot of picking and choosing going on here.

I ask respectively and humbly that people ask thier priest this question after mass tommarrow. Or better yet write a letter to thier archdiocese and ask them why. DU has 70 000 members, imagine if we start targeting a mass email to the Bishops and Priests and demand fair treatment to Democrats. It's time that the other side get hammered for not being Christian.

Note again I am not talking about the people in the pews. It's just the ones who set the tone and policy for the country - something that there not supposed to do- are the ones that I am complaining about.
