5. If Clark didn't exist, you'd have a fair point...
Although, honestly, besides the fact that Dean is a progressive and Kerry is actually a corporatist in Democrats' clothing, I do think Dean would have done better than Kerry. Not withstanding that Kerry actually won. ...but I admit it's tough to really say. Although, just like I said about Clark, I don't get why Dems didn't just do polling on who would have had the most appeal to swing voters. ....gee, do you think the West Point valedictorian Supreme Allied Commander who was endorsed by 55 ambassadors would have appealed the most to potential Bush defectors? NAH
