Occasionally, I will make myself watch such videos or look at pictures to remind myself what real war is all about. To be honest, the video looked faked. I know Nick Berg is dead, but I wonder if he could have been dead prior to his beheading? There was very little blood and a live person would have bled profusely. I can't say one way or the other. Regardless, it was not a pleasant video. Nothing about real killing, real deaths, real torture, is pleasant.

I'm sure many of the other beheadings were quite real. That's what war is: atrocities committed on all sides. And I might remind the freeper that some of the Abu Ghraib prisoners were tortured TO DEATH. I might remind the freeper that women and children were raped. I might also remind the freeper that most of these prisoners were innocent and that any torture or "abuses" heaped upon them were 1) wrong, 2) will incite Iraqis to do the same and worse to Americans. How hard is it to understand that violence and extremism beget ever escalating violence and extremism?
