Jim Powell refers to Woodrow Wilson as the worst president in American history. In "Wilson's War," the author argues that instead of making a world safer for democracy, rallying the U.S. to enter World War I opened the door to communism and murderous tyrants. This event was hosted by the Cato Institute in Washington, DC.

Jim Powell is the author of "FDR's Folly" and "The Triumph of Liberty." He is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute and has lectured at Harvard, Stanford, and other universities in Europe, Asia, and South America. Mr. Powell has written for the New York Times, Barron's, American Heritage, and Money magazine.
