252. True, but not completely true.
JFK escalated the American presence from about 500 to about 15,000. LBJ escalated sent thousands of troops. Only under Nixon, who got elected claiming he was going to end the war, did the toll climb into the tens of thousands for us and the millions for them.

JFK and LBJ both deserve condemnation for their roll in Viet Nam. But the Republicans are the ones who should oceans of blood. As usual.
