27. Just jumping in here...
I think a lot of DUers are sick of Democratic senators failing to stand up as one against Nero's nominees to appeals courts, the Supreme Court, etc. When Priscilla Owen's nomination almost brought Frist to impose "the nuclear option," it was the DLC that shut down Democratic opposition and guaranteed Owen's confirmation. When the vote was taken on John Roberts, conservative Democrats broke ranks with their own party and voted him in as Chief Justice of the SCOTUS. Meanwhile, where are the dissenting Republican senators? Few and far between - they're pretty much marching in lockstep with whatever Nero wants.

That, I believe, is the source of all this frustration on DU with senators who seem less than willing to oppose Miers, the woman who appears to have scrubbed evidence of Nero's past shenanigans in the Texas Air National Guard. First a failed lottery official, then a hired record shredder - and now a Supreme Court justice. No thank you.
