Animals are so often forgotten when disaster strikes. I'm very grateful for the organizations and volunteers that help out and I try to donate to them whenever I can. When Katrina hit, I donated equal amounts to "animal" and "people" charities. Some might consider that to be skewed in the wrong direction but the way I see it, I donated and that's really all that matters.
