The Politics of Peace: What's Behind the Anti-War Movement
John Tierney

John Tierney argues that many of the leaders of the anti-war movement in America are Communists. In his book, "The Politics of Peace," the author explains that these anti-war groups dating back to the Vietnam era are in fact anti-American. Mr. Tierney warns that because of the avancement in global communication the anti-war movement has become a real political threat. This event was hosted by the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC.

John Tierney is Walter Kohler professor of international relations and faculty chairman at the Institute of World Politics in Washington, DC. He has held several positions in the U.S. Arms Control and Disasrmament Agency, including foreign affairs officer in the Bureau of Strategic Nuclear Affairs, division chief in the International Relations Division and member of the U.S. delegation to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva in 1982-1985.
