Thank you for giving us your analysis of the past and vision for the future of DU, presented in a way that is thought-provoking and not rude and presumptuous or anything like that. I can see that you appreciate the difficult task of running this board, as you put it, because we know that message boards are run by the people on them, and you have given us a strong direction in which to go forward that can only come from we the people, who don't have a "bias" in how to direct the board because we had no part in setting it up or coming up with the purpose for it in the first place (following that would be a bias in direction).

I do think though, that we should strengthen each other with criticism and self-criticism, so please allow me to criticize your post that you have just made in which you say:

The NYT can kiss my a** and they can kiss it twice, as can all the people who think it's not news until they've either read it in the papers or heard it on CNN.

You go far, but not far enough, by not speaking your mind here; you should not put assterisks to censor yourself when effecting change such as this, but should spell out words like "ass" if you feel like it (but only if you feel like it because that again would be bias if you didn't really feel like it). Just giving you criticism to stay strong in these times of change. Or do you not want REAL change?

Sorry if that last sentence seemed strong, but we have to keep each other strong as I said.
