27. N Solomon: "The war-makers rely on "perception management" techniques ..."
In a society with significant aspects of democracy, persistent spin is necessary to gain and retain public support for war. The war-makers rely on "perception management" techniques that effectively promote certain themes; the better we understand those ongoing themes, the more clearly we'll be able to see through them. Such understanding can blow away the fog of media war and enhance democratic participation in decisions that are truly matters of life and death.

Whilst everyone is preparing to support Ms Sheehan during the weeks ahead, and march on DC on Sept 24, and whatever else it takes to bring Bush and the neoconsters to justice, please read this terse, cogent assessment by Mr Solomon.

Please discuss it and share it with your children and the children of friends and family and strangers .... share it with everyone.

If America survives the current horrid calamity, we need a few guidelines as to how to avoid another cycle of premeditated lies as cover for unjust war.

Peace.
