Judge a Society by How It Treats Its Most Vulnerable Members

A teacher at the school I student taught in had a poster in her room with that slogan. It's really stuck with me as sort of a catch-all motto for Global liberalism.

little chance of universal healthcare
stem cell research on hold
"welfare queen" mythology
unequal school funding by income/neighborhood (race!)
incarceration of poor
letting mentally ill go homeless
working poor
single mom's
efforts to criminalize women who seek abortions - while offering no viable alternatives for them

I'm sure the list can go on...
