is not in question. And the contact had signed a waiver of confidentiality. No doubt the "contact" gave up Miller's name since someone who talked to investigators or testified had to introduce her name into the investigation since she didn't write a story.

Likely Fitz is looking for Miller's testimony to either confirm or deny what the contact told him/grand jury.

Just as with Cooper and also for example with Russert. Not just who disseminated the leak but also perhaps to confirm or not confirm who the gov't official claims to have heard the Plame story from, if the official is claiming to have gotten the info from the press.

Did the gov't official provide info to Miller as a "source?" Or did the gov't official claim Miller told him about Plame?

I recall it was reported somewhere that Miller met/talked with Libby? Supposedly Libby claimed Russert told him about Plame and Russert said no he didn't know about Plame at the time and didn't tell Libby.

And then of course there's Bolton....who the oped author suspects it was.
