Who is John G. Roberts Jr.?

BY TOM BRUNE and JOHN RILEY

(snip)

Roberts is a member of the conservative legal group, the Federal (sic)Society, and helped the Republican legal team that won Bush v. Gore, which made George W. Bush president in 2000.

I haven't been able to find anything more specific than that, and I think that the Dems should find out what that means exactly... Bush v. Gore was a bad argument and a terrible decision, based on an interpretation of equal protection which was so shaky the Supremes wrote into it that it couldn't be used as a precedent for any other cases.

And you know if Gore had actually won Bush v. Gore, and was nominating his first Supreme Court nominee, and that nominee had "helped" Gore's legal team at any point in the 2000 campaign, the Republicans would be screaming "quid pro quo".
