I am not surprised what happened. Same as if you were caught bad-mouthing the place where you worked. This has happened before. You have to treat a public forum like a public place. Not like having dinner with a close friend.

Don't get if you threatened them or not - but really - if you threaten anyone - even in joking - that is not good.
