it's not true in fact. There are plenty of conservatives who help their fellow man. But the plan truth is they don't do a lot of speaking out. Those voices who are the loudest are the ones who are filled with the most hate. I can't come to gripes with hatred, I don't understand it. While I hate the things that Bush has done, I don't hate him. I don't wish him dead, just out of office (and in jail, okay, I'm not perfect).
Hatred is what turns societies into a wolf pack mentality. I have seen hate on these boards, for no other reason than someone's connection to something. When you label people as someone to hate, rather than to hate the deed, you are no better than those you hate. This is why I could never understand the born agains mantra of accepting Jesus into your heart, but deeds don't get you into heaven. What you do, is what you should be judged by, not how you think, or where you live, or what you believe. Some one can think happy thoughts all day long, but never help their fellow man, not even a smile to someone who could really use it. Do those happy thoughts really matter? What if someone had hateful thoughts all day long, but gave freely to an environmental organization, do those thoughts really matter?
I judge what people do. I choose not to hate.
