1. Let me guess
I have only been consistently sickened by the stonewalling and sidelining of crucial stories. Experience would suggest that some minimal and temporary recognition of DSM by the shameless MSM would be cheered here as "turning the corner" when it is in actual fact only grudgingly, under immense popular pressure, taking a baby step forward. Lots of other scandals received more coverage(Enron, etc.) largely before the surrender and gilded dog collars of 911. There too the end results are what we see today and hardly satisfying. Truth force some accommodation.

They have a long long way to go to demonstrate any willingness to do their job regarding the Bush crime regime especially as now they are in it up to their collared necks. As an aggregate I would expect responses in any range from zero to a few to some outlets even reporting it, and, spin or not, to rein it in and kill it when possible. In the large effect you might as well have Karl Rove as the CEO of every major network.

Have we ever been REALLY pleasantly surprised by the response of the MSM? So far they are not up to even doing their putative job regardless of the ridicule of the world press. Yet some persist in believing they will transform into old time crusaders. Dogs will attack intruders, sometimes sullenly snap at their masters and that is that. Be prepared to take your case directly to the people over the dead body of the American press.

Keep up the heat on newspapers now either angered or embarrassed at being the lazy dupes of corrupted newswires(when as journalists they always were ever much as free as bloggers to conduct direct instant research on important national events).
