30. Opposing the radical right!
John McCain, John Kerry, Dennis Kucinich, and Ralph Nader are all very different politically, but they all oppose the radical religious right. What if all of these people were involved in a coalition to destroy the hardcore radical right? Democrats, Greens, Independents, traditional Republicans, liberals, real libertarians, etc. could stand together in this particular fight. I'm not just talking about general elections. I'm talking about primaries, judicial nominees, and activist groups. For example, Republicans who are part of the coalition could concentrate on knocking out the radical right during the primaries. If we can get the traditional conservatives to knock the religious right and the neocons out of their party, then those radical groups will lose any power they used to have. Just imagine if every Republican who was part of the filibuster compromise decided to vote against far-right nominees! I plan on writing the non-neocon and non-theocon Republicans and urging them to do this!
