It's time for liberal-moderate alliance!

There should be two groups in politics: the radical right and those who oppose them. At a Meetup last night, a speaker from Americans United described the alliance between the religious right, "small-government" conservatives, and Neocons. In my opinion, someone who believes in "small government" shouldn't be aligning themselves with the religious right, who support a very intrusive government! However, they wanted to win, so they sold out what they believed in.

I believe that those of us who oppose the radical right---liberals, progressives, moderates, etc--don't agree on everything, but we have a hell of a lot more in common than a libertarian-conservative has with the religious right! If those groups can band together to form the radical right, then the rest of us should have no problem banding together to DESTROY them!

Even if the country is 50/50 when it comes to Democrat vs. Republican, I believe that the radical right probably makes up much less than 50%! If the battle was the radical right vs. everybody else, the radical right wouldn't stand a chance!
