56. No little kids don't generally know what sex is but in schoolyards
across the country boys who are not seen as tough enough or jock enough are derided as sissy and gay. If a boy dresses in a way not seen as being part of the dominant culture he is said to be dressing gay.
It isn't only these kids who hate gay people. Their less fundamentalist peers hate gay people as well.
