3. By the standards of the royalty in Thailand,it is indeed modest. I have
personally witnessed the wedding of a Thai princess, where the groom rode an elephant decked,not just with flowers but rubies and diamonds, and a sixty piece band walked ahead of the elephant.When this entourage met with a similar procession on the bride's side, both the grrom and bride walked together inside a palace where a Hindu ceremony officiated by 100 priest conducted the ceremony chanting verses from the Rig Veda the 3500 year old Hindu sacred text.

When the ceremonies were over, the King ordered free dinner for all the people( more than 100,000 of them).

I would say, Charles and Camilla did have a modest ceremony!
