Cheney still receives “deferred compensation” from Halliburton to the tune of $600 thousand to $1 million a year. Every question by Timid Russert was a setup - asked to give Cheney a chance to lie his way out of every possible previous lie. A staged interview of the worst order.
The best line in the interview, which went unchallenged, because there was to be no real challenge after a question had been posed was Cheney's explanation of real progress in Iraq - he referred to "....democratically appointed governing councils in the cities of Iraq."
Say what? Democratically APPOINTED????? Something new that I haven't heard about?
Cheney remains the smoking gun.
