21. because Americans do not understand
Edited on Mon Mar-21-05 06:11 PM by welshTerrier2
Americans do not understand that ALL foreign policy is conducted to benefit corporate interests ... because the Democratic Party refuses to push this essential truth, it becomes very easy for the neo-con right to peddle their nonsense about protecting Americans from "the terrorists" and promoting democracy for the Iraqis ...

too many Americans lack the context on which to decide right from wrong ... if the "opposition party" fails to provide that context, too often the cause of war can be justified when it is in fact corrupt and immoral ...

and not only doesn't the Democratic Party provide the necessary context for Americans to understand the true motivations for war, but far too many of them vote to support and fund the war ...

why the hell do we still have 150,000 soldiers in Iraq? ... that's easy ... both parties are supporting the policy that put them there ...
